Hi - welcome on-board!

My opinion for what it's worth is that I would exhaust all your sales
avenues here before looking at selling internationally. Plenty of customers
in the UK and much easier with shipping & taxes etc.

Cheers

I must admit I'd take a slightly different line. On any site I use, except for the rare electrical item, I've always offered to ship to western Europe, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and if the buyer seems genuine to elsewhere. That proved very useful as when I was getting rid of a large chunk of my LP collection I got dozens of sales abroad where there was no interest from UK buyers. I've also sold many books and photographic bits abroad.

It's definitely a lot tougher at the moment but I've recently made some more sales to Europe & Australia.

If there is any customs duty that's the purchaser's problem. It's only if you sell out of the European Union that you need to affix a simple customs declaration and even that isn't necessary for "printed papers" i.e. books, magazines & the like. I've never found it much hassle to be honest and if I'd restricted my sales to the UK I would have been stuck with a lot of unwanted stuff, which would have benefited charity shops or Freecycle members but not me! Laughing
