The QXL UK site has now closed and almost all of the website has been taken down. The last few sellers have dispersed to various sites, the most popular being eBid, bideasynow and Specialist Auctions. They will probably do better on any of those than they did on QXL in recent years.
The previous owner of QXL, Tradus plc, has now been taken over by the South African group who put in a bid some months ago. The deal was completed in March of this year. It seems a lost opportunity for eBay as many of the Tradus sites (mainly in eastern Europe) are the market leaders in their respective countries. |
