| Hello everyone,
I am an artist with her own website, and I would like to have a page on my site which lists art related auction items. Is there an auction site which would be able to give me this facilty? (I am not looking for a commission, simply trying to increase visitor numbers)
Hope you can help,

| Hi Margaret,
Probably the easiest way would be to use eBay's editor kit to display
listings on your own webpages. You can find out more information
by visiting here: http://affiliates.ebay.co.uk/promote/editor-kit.html#description
You would need to sign up for their affiliate program though to use
the above facility and may earn commission though I know you said that
wasn't important.
HTH
Cheers

| Thanks Steve,
I have had a look at ebay like you suggested and it seems straightforward. The real test will come when I try to set it up on my site!

| You might also like to consider www.specialistauctions.com and see whether they can help. If need be contact support and see what can be done. The advantage of this site is that there is no listing fee and the final value fee is only 3%. Unlike most of the me-too sites, stuff does actually sell on Specialist Auctions as I can personally attest. It's best to decide what you want for an item and offer it at a fixed price but there is the option to let people haggle with you if you wish.
The site is very much aimed at collectors and I think it could be a good home for you. Items can sell there for high value & they have buyers from around the world. If you do decide to join I recommend you buy a couple of small items so that your feedback does not start at zero. It also helps to be active in the excellent forums as that raises your visibility. It has worked for me. Also there is none of the banality and back-stabbing that the ebay forums are rife with! |

| Enthusiast,
Thanks for the information. It looks a little more work than I had in mind, but I will have a look.
