| Conversions from listing to making sales has been steadily increasing.
The exact figures for eBid UK are an increase of 57% in number of sales in November 2007 as compared to June 2007. And for eBid US the increase is 221%.
One of the factors for the increase is the free inclusion of buynow items on Google Products.

| I wouldn't disagree with you in saying that ebid is an excellent site, though I've always had more luck buying things on there than with selling.
But the statistics you quote don't really mean much. OK there has been a 57% increase but on what base figure? Far more meaningful is to know what the sell through rate is, ie for every 100 items listed, how many have actually sold? Does anybody know this for ebid? It seems most sites treat this as a state secret. The only one I have seen release figures recently is Specialist Auctions, where overall the rate is just under 10%, but in certain specialist categories it reaches 40% and higher. That certainly mirrors my experience selling there so I'm interested to know if ebid's STR is higher. Any ideas? |

| Ebid is gaining ground,it's not going to take over from ebay overnight but its growing and the y are mostly genuine auctions, more than can be said for ebay. |
