www.auctions-united.com We have been in existence since May 2005 & have been gradually developing & evolving over the past few months. We are pleased to say that our membership has seen a gradual increase too, something we are very proud of.We are but a small fish in the sea in comparison to the big 'E' auction site fish. We feel strongly that consumers & the general public should have a wide choice & selection of retailers , suppliers & items within the market place. The 'market place' would simply become a 'shop' if that were not the case!We want to actively encourage our members to use other auction sites, classified Ads & Forums & hope to make that a simple task by providing some of the links & information on our site.It will be slow process, but one we hope will be worthwhile, not only for us but also for our members. We pay our members a £25 CyberCash bonus every time they refer a freind to us. We are a small family concern. We welcome any comments you have & would actively encourage you to refer your friends & feel free to advertise your business, goods or services. Unlike some sites we actively encourage sellers to include whatever contact information they wish, telephone number, email, web address etc.We hope to develop a safe & trusted environment for people to interact in & would encourage anyone to use our forum & chat room as a place to do business or shoot the breeze. Vinnie is the chat room moderator and is always pleased to help.We look forward to working with you & welcome you warmly to our site.IanPart of the The Auctions-United Team :) :-):-)

I would of course be obliged if you could add http://www.pgbids.co.uk to that list. We don't claim anything other than we are a place to buy and sell, we are not the fastest growing, nor have we got the biggest membership.

Hi, would it be possible to add our site, www.bid-2-go.co.uk ,to your UK listing. We are a new site, and I'm sure you can understand, we need as much exposure as we can get and your site seems to cover just about every aspect of auction sites. Thanks in advance, Steve Watson.

I wouldn't presume to speak for Steve but the revised list includes almost all of the sites one would expect to see there, ie sites that are seriously making progress to some degree. Your site, when I looked just now, had just 12 items for sale. You've also handicapped yourself by not making the registration process secure - many people will not join unless a secure "https" address comes up on the registration page. And as I've said before in these forums, any new site simply has to get a decent number of listings before any buyer or serious seller is going to stop there. This isn't being negative, just a statement of fact. I looked at some of the other sites whose owners posted in this thread. To take just one example, look at pgbids, they are new and small but they have got several hundred listings and importantly a small but active membership who are actually buying and selling on there. When people use lists like Steve's, they want links to sites where there is activity and which might be worth joining. None of us want to waste time on sites that are virtually empty of items. That may sound harsh but at the moment we are spoilt for choice. There are far too many sites and very few of them will succeed, particularly as the country is now entering recession. Well that's my opinion, others may feel differently.

Hi Rob,There's no point in me reiterating what Enthusiast has written above veryeloquantly and probably better than I would :) I did check out your site when your originally posted in September andthen again about a month later when I revised the lists. TBH there seemedto be little activity in the interim period and I have stopped listing siteswhere this seems to be the case.Of course if the site develops and shows some movement then it will get listed. My only advice to you and any new auction is to forget competing witheBay or any aspect of eBay. Concentrate on YOUR niche, YOUR USP, YOUR User Base & YOUR Brand. Far too often we see new auctions makemany claims that IMHO put buyers and sellers off and makes them appear to lack credibility.HTHCheersSteve

okay the reasons why we have not yet got off the ground is.We have been trying to get a platform that we want but to do this we need to wait for the funding to come in which well arrive in the next week if you have used eBay in the past which most people have then you will know how to use our site as are platform is very similar to eBay but it is easier to use and much clearer so give us one month to get are new platform up and running then check us out and tell us what you think http://electronicenterprise.co.uk
